LEIA
She was bored, bored, bored. She missed the war. She felt guilty because of
that. Well, she had fought for freedom since she was a child, she was hollow
somewhat, without that focus point on her life.
Diplomatic meetings could be so tiring! The funny thing is that everybody
thought she loved them. She moved in her chair and used the Force to scan
the intentions of the diplomat speaking. Another world negotiating to join
the New Republic, another meeting, on a forgotten planet to start the
political procedures. What were their real reasons to join? And why did the
New Republic want them anyway? Nothing but more trouble, more work, more
nothing. People’s life would remain the same; it seemed, no matter
how hard they worked.
The diplomat stopped talking. It was time for people to clap. They clapped.
They wouldn’t be more precise had they belong to the Coruscant
Planetary Opera, had they had a clapping chorus line. Time to corridor
talking. Time for Leia to concentrate. They should stop with the speeches.
All work and decisions were made in the corridors anyway.
What a farce! She wanted to scream and run. She smiled and spoke politely.
Suddenly, it was time to go. And she wouldn’t miss it. Where were her
children? She had brought them with her this time. If things got too boring
she would play the good mother and use them as an excuse to leave earlier.
She opened the door of her designated suite. The code was her wedding date.
When had she married? Why? Oh yes. He used to make her feel alive. Being
with him was a bit like living in war times still. When was he domesticated,
and by whom? A criminal for sure.
She started undressing.
Where were her children again? Oh yes! With her. Oh no! She knew now. It
came to her mind as the silence hit her. She had asked Chewy to take them.
They were too noisy. She couldn’t think with them. Chewy had other
plans it seemed, but he said yes, just the same.
She put the water running and went to a bath. She missed the old days.
Passing her hand through the hot water she smiled recalling the times in the
Rebellion when she had to shower in cold water.
The Rebellion. When had they become the system?
She stepped into the shower. The water was too hot and the divider was
becoming full of steam. She stopped cleansing herself and looked to a mirror
on a wall. She could only see shades of her, a ghostly Leia trying to
surface.
What had she become? Was she someone who ordered other people around? A
mother using her children? She had changed her husband and her friends to
someone she didn’t want or even like. All that because she forgot
about herself. Was it too late to change things? Who was she again? Oh yes!
Vader’s daughter!
Her Force sense told her someone was in the room. Chewy and her children?
No, she had sent them off. Not their Force signature anyway. A stranger?
What would they want? To kill her? No! They wouldn’t gain anything
from her death.
She stepped out of the shower. Putting a towel around her she exited the
bathroom.
“Who is there and why….? Oh?”
At the middle of the room stood a naked man. He was tall, dark, all muscles.
He was pouring some fine wine onto two fine glasses.
“I’ll be at your disposal until you want me.” He grinned
and started stepping toward her.
“No, you won’t be needed, thank you! Please get out of here”
He was near her. “Why? We can have so much fun!”
He gave her one of the glasses, almost by reflex she accepted it. As soon as
she grabbed it he took the chance to remove her towel, grabbed her and
kissed her demandingly.
She struggled but he was strong. Finally he let her go free.
“You sure you don’t want me to stay?”
“Get. Out. Now.” She was so angry that she could have used the
force to shock him.
“Ok. Ok.” He grinned. Putting on a robe she hadn’t
noticed, he drank his wine before leaving with a grin on his face.
In a rage, she threw her glass to the floor. She would leave this planet
now. She just hoped they didn’t have the time to do what they wanted.
But it was too late. She knew it. They were working on her naked pictures
before she had a time to get really dressed.
